There are so many things in this world that are able to bring our humor down a notch. The individuals we work with can be great one day and then frustrating the next. School can seem too overwhelming that we feel there is no way to get out. And there are times when family and friends can appear so far away from us.

With so many various things making us sad we need something that will aid to lift our spirits and make everything all right once more. One of the best ways that we can do this is through the fun of telling and sharing jokes. For certain people this seems like such a trivial response – but I believe that it is one of the healthiest things that we could ever do.

Jokes have been around for loads of years and it is unclear as to who created the first one. Regrettably historians do not always believe that it is essential enough to understand how, when, and who came up with the first one. But what we do recognize is they aid each and every one of us to laugh.

Laughing is one of the healthiest things that we have the ability to do – but simply when that laughter is pure and truly occurs from the heart. Sometimes we laugh without really knowing what people are talking about so we will feel involved. Other times we are laughing at somebody – but this is not pure laughter. This is something that has the ability to hurt individuals.

Pure laughter is when we see or hear something that makes us laugh when we are in a sad mood. Sometimes we can find stupid jokes that are so funny that we start to cry from how much it makes us laugh. These are the ones that we send to others in the hopes that it will lighten up their day as well.
